Gionee M5 : Hands on and First Impressions
The unit i bought has a silver white colour. The phone looks good with fine bezels, well balanced and the metallic build gives it an appealing and a premium look. But that's where it ends as housing a 6020mah battery has its own perks. The phone weighs 214g (a big thanks to the battery) and it is quite thick thanks to battery again which makes it look too bulky and it weighs heavily on our hands. For someone coming from a light phone like samsung S6 or any iPhone it is an unpleasant experience but with time, we can cope (most will, some never will) . For me, the ergonomics and aesthetics is bad.
Screen Quality : The Phone has a good display. A 720p on a 5'5 screen stretches the ppi (pixel per inches) at around 267ppi but considering the screen is an Amoled type, the screen quality is good. The screen also comes with a corning gorilla glass 3 protection
Camera : The 13Mp front camera is not the best out there but its however a very good camera and the 5mp front camera also takes good pictures.
RAM and internal Memory
With a 2gb ram, multiple operations will be a breeze. With 16gb internal memory , this will just be enough for multimedia and games. what else, there is an option for external memory.
Android OS
Lollipop out of the box with Amigo UI. It is smooth and refreshing.
Price : I bought the phone for 43000 but ever since, the price has gone up.
Gionee M5 is a good device, with a great battery life. It's a good buy. The only con is the bulkiness of the phone.
