How Ronaldo Inspired and Motivated his Team at EURO 2016 Final
Ronaldo the Coach |
It's every players dream to play at the final of any competition. When you're the one of the best player in the world, the captain of your team and arguably the best player in your team, you get to understand how it must have felt for Ronaldo after he was subbed out thanks to a collision with Payet of France at the Euro 2016 Final.
Out of the Pitch |
Like the cry baby they call him, Ronaldo cried as he was being carried out of the field like a bag of soaked rice. At the moment, I was like that's it. History is about to repeat itself, another trophy gone.
To be fair, even with Ronaldo on the pitch, France seems to be the team with a complete Arsenal of Players -pun/jibe Intended.
Well, I thought Ronaldo will probably bow to the dressing room in shame. But from the ashes he rose like the mythical phoenix bird, pulling a SAF(Sir Alex Ferguson) as Elder scored what would be the winning goal.
Ronaldo bossing the pitch the SAF way |
Ronaldo couldn't boss the field as usual but then, he didn't have to be on the field. Outside the field he carved a niche for himself as the Assistant Manager pulling strings alongside his coach and at the end of it all, thanks to his teammates, a slow Giroud and a tiny bit of luck Cristiano Ronaldo captained his team to success.
This is a motivational story. A lesson learnt from perhaps one of the greatest players to have ever walked the field. Congratulations to Portugal, Congratulations to Cristiano Ronaldo.
Champions at last. |
Lesson: When life removes you from the field, rule from the sidelines. If it's a challenge, overcome it.
I bet he has been reading our self-improvement teams on wikeria.org 😂
